Will we be joined by other tourists during our tour?

No, our tours are private and you will have your own transportation during your tour and your own private guide, only in charge of you. That’s how we can assure that your Discover Bali Indonesia’s customized tour will be really “your” tour.

Is it safe to travel in Indonesia?

Some parts of Indonesia archipelago are in political trouble and some inter-ethnical and inter-religious problems arise time to time (Poso region in Sulawesi for instance) and some regions are forbidden to foreigners because of the level of insecurity (Aceh in north Sumatra, Maluccu islands). But Java, Bali and Lombok islands are very safe destinations. Even the cities are very safe compared to western ones. The people’s hospitality, their peaceful minds and lifestyles are one of the great memory tourists bring back home.

What is the difference between Discover Bali Indonesia Tours &Travel and the more “classical” travel agencies?

Well, there are plenty of them!

First, we can offer really personalized services because we are a small sized company (if we were bigger we could not care as we do about our customers). We are “tour tailors” and not a “tour supermarket”!

Second, we are based in Indonesia and have a complete control over our tours. We are glad to share with you our expertise about Bali, Java and Lombok, where we live and developed during years a highly valuable network, a deep cultural knowledge and collected many gorgeous “off the beaten path” places, many of them being mentioned in no guide books. This is one of our prides and the result of a huge work.

Third, a travel agency based in your country can not do it otherwise then work with a local tour operator (you seldom know which local tour operator will concretely organize your tour and it may often be the same one selling their tours under different names/travel agencies in your country…). Different Bali Indonesia Tours &Travel is both the “local tour operator” ant its own agency through the internet network. You are directly in touch with the people who create your tour and organize it! This is a great gain of control over your vacation, and a great gain of money as well, because you buy directly from the “producer”.

Is it recommended to travel in Indonesia with young children?

There is no problem traveling with young children. The sanitary conditions are of international standards in many ways in Bali, Java and Lombok. We are used to custom tour to suit children needs. Of course you should avoid moving from one hotel to the other each day. You might as well have to consider a trip from Bali to Jogjakarta (Java) by car as too much of a hassle for them. Bali is the best destination for them considering the hotel industry and the possibility to visit the entire island with not much of hours in the car.

What is the best time to travel to Indonesia?

If weather is the first consideration then you should know that the rainiest months are January, February and March (but even in those months rain will usually fall late in the afternoon and at night and not bother your holidays except if you intend to do a lot of hiking). July and August are the driest months but also the most busy ones in terms of tourism, and the most expensive (high-season charge). That’s why we consider September to December and April to June to be the best time to discover Indonesia. A special note for the photo amateurs: definitely April, May and June offer the best light (after the wet season and before the sometimes dusty air of the dry season)

We are not used to organize our holidays through internet. What are your guarantees?

There are some professional thieves using the internet network as anybody knows, but they are all together only a few. Whatever we do we can not give you by our website you the absolute proof that we are not one of them (well you can check the legal documents of our company or the testimonials if it helps…). Well, we do minimize your “risk” by offering you a very convenient and “comfortable” payment procedure: we  ask you only a small deposit prior to arrival (10%) which should be paid by bank transfer (we do never ask your credit card number). After arrival, and after having met us, we ask you to pay 50 % of the total amount. The last 40% should then be paid 5 days later after having checked out the reliability of our services.

Is everything included in the price we pay?

Well, mainly the price includes the hotels and the breakfast, the private transportation and the fuel, the service of the guide/driver, the activities mentioned as “included” in the estimate. Usually we do not include expensive activities when they might be cancelled because of weather conditions (diving, golf, fishing trip…) but we inform you about the additional expense. We are proud to have strong working ethics and commitment with our customers: we do not take commissions in restaurants or shops, they are no “hidden charges”. Your Discover Bali Indonesia’s guide (who is better paid then in other travel agencies) will always think about pleasing you, giving you the best on offer, and not about ripping you off, which often happens in the tourism industry in Indonesia as elsewhere in the world…

What is not included in the price are the lunch and dinner, the tips, your personal expenses, and the airport taxes.

After agreement with the estimate is it still possible to modify the program, the activities during our stay?

You can not change the planed hotels without paying additional charge, but your program during guided days can be completely modified to meet your desires (they may change a bit during your stay, something which we see as natural and normal). Discover Bali Indonesia’s flexibility in running your tour is one of our “differences” with classical tour operators. We want to “help” you, to “serve” you, to “guide” you, but without restricting your freedom. Our guides have been specially trained to be able to adapt to any situation. They are always in contact by handy with the office if they need further information about anything related to the customer’s wellness.
